From March 2008 DI International Business Development (DIBD) offers the concept "Own Man In India" (OMII) to the confederation's member.
The fundamental idea of the concept is to make India more accessible to companies who would otherwise have avoided this market, due to the barriers posed by bureaucracy, culture and investment requirements.
Many Danish companies have positive experiences in dealing with India agents or distributors. Some, in spite of the success, come across difficulties in gauging the full potential of the market. This is often due to the fact that the Indian partners are reluctant to share their knowledge about the market.
OMII provides the companies with a solution to these problems. This flexible business concept offers the opportunity to get a local presence in the market. Our Mumbai office serves as an incubator where companies can lay the foundation for their future Indian activities. If needed, the concept includes easy exit from the market; the company is not weighed down by resources bound in an expensive set-up.
